Our premise is the “Eyes Lead the Mind and Body”. Sports, although highly physical, is a highly visual game. The speed of the modern game requires extraordinary visual capabilities. Without great sport related visual skills, physical mechanics suffer and invariably there is a breakdown in performance.
But it requires higher quality visual skills than just being able to read a visual acuity chart at the doctor’s office or pass a physical. Only a few rare players possess these vast arrays of skills required to see quality pitching. Fortunately, those that don’t can be trained and those that do can be improved. Through our experience, there is not one solution or not one tool for your players, but a variety of solutions. We pride ourselves in customizing a program for you whether it emphasizes visual focus, clarity, visual skills, or visual strategies. Our player development emphasis is to help each player become more highly “visual,” perform more frequently in the slowness of the zone, defensively and offensively, see the ball earlier and more accurately, track the ball better, pitchers more locked in to their visual targets (glove or other), and all players learn to adjust more rapidly from their ups and downs by being aware and controlling the visual focus side of their game. After years of doing this we have become adept at identifying when visual focus or processing issues are disrupting physical performance and when enhancement can be beneficial. We continue to look for new advances study the potential player benefits from new technology and theories. We look forward to discussing all questions and considerations and then begin planning and scheduling for your season. |
